AgriCapture Sells Additional 2,500 High-Integrity Methane Reduction Credits

NASHVILLE, Tenn., January 30 – AgriCapture announced today the sale of an additional 2,500 carbon credits from the company’s U.S. Rice Methane Reduction Project, bringing the total to 32,500 credits sold.

This sale to a top-tier global financial institution highlights the demand for high-integrity, third-party verified carbon credits and demonstrates how carbon markets serve as a financial tool to incentivize climate-smart agriculture.

“We are excited to see both market demand and carbon price continue to increase for rice methane reductions. This sale is another win for American farmers and market-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture,” says AgriCapture President, Tyler Hull.

The project, the largest of its kind in U.S. history, continues to support rice farmers in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas who adopt irrigation management techniques that significantly reduce methane emissions and save water.

By implementing techniques like alternate wetting and drying or furrow irrigation, farmers have reduced methane emissions by 60% compared to conventional methods and collectively saved over 9 billion gallons of water.

AgriCapture remains committed to scaling the US Rice Methane Reduction Project, connecting farmers to premium markets, and enabling agriculture as a climate solution.
