Ongoing sales demonstrate growing market demand and provide farmers with dependable income
October 7, 2025 – AgriCapture announced today the sale of 14,000 carbon credits from its U.S. Rice Methane Reduction Project, continuing to generate reliable revenue for farmers adopting regenerative practices. This sale, facilitated by Artemeter, to a top-tier global financial institution highlights the strong demand for high-integrity, third-party verified carbon credits and reinforces the role of carbon markets as a financial lifeline for farmers facing challenging market conditions.
“With this latest transaction, AgriCapture is proving that agricultural carbon credits are not a one-off opportunity, but a dependable source of income for farmers when they need it most,” said Tyler Hull, CEO of AgriCapture. “We’re building a viable market that rewards regenerative agriculture and strengthens farm economics.”
Arkansas rice farmer Sam Pirani agrees: “Margins are tight, and this is an extra source of revenue you can count on by doing these practices. It makes growing rice more viable for my operation.”
The Rice Methane Reduction Project is the largest of its kind in U.S. history, spanning 926 fields across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. By adopting irrigation practices such as Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) or furrow irrigation, participating farmers reduce methane emissions by up to 70% while conserving an average of 300,000 gallons of water per credit.
The project continues to scale globally, with new initiatives underway in Argentina, Brazil, and India. AgriCapture’s leadership in this space was further validated with an A rating from BeZero Carbon. This places the project among the top 10% of all BeZero-rated projects worldwide and making it the highest-rated rice methane project globally.
