AgriCapture is proud to announce continued support from the USDA under the Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) initiative. This framework puts an emphasis on the USDA’s Farmer First policy priorities, including:
- At least 65% of federal funds must directly benefit producers.
- Grant recipients must enroll at least one producer by December 31, 2024.
- Grant recipients must make at least one payment to a producer by December 31, 2024.
Following a recent review, AgriCapture’s rice program has not only met but exceeded all three criteria. Since its launch in 2023, the program has developed two distinct markets for US rice farmers and distributed over $4 million in incentives to 33 rice farmers across 42,000 acres, channeling 74% of USDA funds directly to producers.
As the first, and still one of the few, programs to deliver a verified, premium product that reflects both environmental and consumer health values, AgriCapture continues to lead the way in driving economic value back to the farm with a 10% market premium over conventional pricing for sustainably grown rice.
AgriCapture also developed the first-ever carbon project on U.S. rice acres and sold credits to international buyers, creating a second market for incremental farm revenue through environmental stewardship.
With USDA support, farmers in AgriCapture’s program are adopting proven conservation practices like water-saving irrigation and nitrogen use efficiency. These methods reduce emissions, improve water efficiency, and limit concentrations of heavy metals in the grain.
To protect grain quality and integrity, our partner mills maintain identity preservation, while AgriCapture verifies all environmental and nutritional claims using field-level data and farm records.
AgriCapture is committed to building premium, value-added markets that reward both environmental stewardship and farm profitability. By partnering with American rice farmers and mills, we’re scaling sustainable farming practices while improving the long-term viability of U.S. agriculture.
