AgriCapture is bringing regional carbon market expertise to AgriCapture’s next phase of growth in Asia-Pacific
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – August 11th, 2026 – Serene joins us from ENGIE, where she worked as an Environmental Product Originator, originating carbon credits transactions for businesses across the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Before ENGIE, Serene was Business Development Team Lead at Climate Impact X, one of the region’s primary carbon exchanges, where she led a team responsible for acquiring, onboarding and managing corporate clients. She negotiated transaction terms and matched carbon credit supply from environmental projects with emissions-heavy industrial buyers working toward net-zero commitments.
Serene was involved in early transactions under Singapore’s International Carbon Credit (ICC) Framework, bringing together eligible international carbon credit supply with compliance demand and negotiating commercial terms as the new market took shape. This put her at the forefront of Singapore’s emerging compliance market, while her work across other regional compliance markets, including CORSIA, has given her first-hand insight into the evolving regulatory landscape across Asia Pacific.
Serene’s background and connections in Singapore and the APAC region will be a key asset to AgriCapture. With well-established policy, demand, and sourcing regulations, Singapore has emerged as Asia-Pacific’s carbon trading hub. Based in Singapore, Serene will lead efforts to connect AgriCapture’s carbon credit portfolio with buyers and partners across the region.
AgriCapture’s rice methane projects now span 10 countries and will be issuing over 1 million credits per year from the Southeast Asia region specifically. Serene’s experience structuring deals and advising partners on regional regulatory requirements positions her to translate AgriCapture’s global rice methane portfolio into solutions that fit each APAC market’s specific compliance landscape.
